Being a full-time employee who puts in long hours most days, I was understandably wary of returning to the world of tertiary education. I had been long toying with the idea of furthering my personal and professional development by pursuing additional academic programs. Every year, I observed more and more people entering the workforce with advanced degrees and professional skills and competing for the same opportunities as me. This got me to thinking and motivated me to improve my performance and give myself a stronger competitive edge.

I explored various institutional offerings to not much enthusiasm, because I knew the cost and the time commitment required. SITAL College was recommended by a friend and in all honesty, I attended their recruitment drives on two (2) occasions, the first time allowing my doubts and anxiety to demotivate me from exploring further. However, after attending the session the second time, I willed myself to be decisive on the matter. I therefore paid close attention and gave careful thought to the plethora of information, reasons, and advantages (both personally and professionally) of furthering my education.

One of the main reasons I chose (and plan to stay) with SITAL is their STAFF. The staff at SITAL is incredibly helpful and supportive. From the get-go, they made me feel welcome and answered all my (difficult) questions about starting a new program. The academic advisors listened to all my concerns during the advisement process, including the time demands and schedule associated with working a full-time job and the financial constraints associated with starting a journey in a precarious global economy.  What convinced me was the assessment and appraisal of my professional work experience and current academic credentials. Using this information, experts recommended a program, curriculum and financial strategy that would not only help me attain my personal development objectives, but also enhance my current credentials, and increase my marketability and earning potential.

I ultimately started a program of study at SITAL in 2021, during the global COVID-19 pandemic. SITAL’s agility, ingenuity, and tenacity in ensuring the smooth continuation of operations by quickly converting training and learning to a virtual environment and adhering to public health guidelines and legislation were notable and commendable. In a (welcomed) virtual classroom, students were able to study at their own pace in the security and comfort of their personal spaces. I highly support SITAL’s remote learning communication software, administration systems, and online learning methodology. By using projected united classrooms via cloud-based video conferencing services and even WhatsApp support groups, SITAL’s online learning and virtual classrooms provided the same (or even higher) levels of involvement and engagement between instructors and students as would a face-to-face in classroom session.

Another reason I endorse SITAL is their instructors are among the most qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Course instructors are approachable, experienced in their fields, flexible, and eager to work with students to ensure their success. Course instructors take their time to thoroughly explain each module and go above and beyond to help any students who might need it. To ensure that the complete course syllabus was covered during the COVID-19 epidemic, additional support was given, whether by going beyond planned class times, or scheduling additional make-up sessions. It is highly appreciated that lecturers at SITAL go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure students’ success.

In just one (1) year, I am pleased to announce that I successfully completed the Association of Business Executives (ABE) UK’s Level 5 Diploma in Business Management. What is ahead for me, God willing? I intend to continue my education at SITAL College and work toward earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bedfordshire, after first earning a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire (UH).

I say all of this because SITAL College has demonstrated to me that they are a tenacious, agile, inventive, and forward-thinking organization that is enthusiastic about adult education and training. In addition to producing seasoned, advantageously qualified professionals with credentials that are recognized internationally, SITAL is notable for encouraging and transforming students to become better versions of themselves, not only for the advancement of our communities, but also to positively impact national and global societies.

SITAL College inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and keep improving myself on all fronts—professionally, personally, and socially. In addition to giving me a quality education, this institution and its programs have improved my marketability, earning potential, and sense of worth.
