MBA Human Resource - Jacette Taylor Calliste
“You have to possess the DNA of an elephant”. This may appear at first as an insult but when one really experiences a fast pace programme such as SITAL’s one year MBA, which is UK accredited from the University of Bedfordshire, one quickly realises how resilience and perseverance applies to getting back in the groove of late night or early morning routines of studying.
Being a very strong minded and very opinionated individual, the programme humbled me. I had to ensure that I was aware of the modules for all six units, because the lecturers would engage you. To God be the glory, I attained my MBA and I’m now a certified ‘defender of the people’. My passion has always been in the field of Human Resources. Having attained my Bachelors in 2017, the aim was to jump into my Masters, making sure the various ideologies were still fresh in my mind and understanding. I got the very unexpected but exciting news that I was pregnant. Life happened and the Masters was put on the back burner.
In 2021 my husband assisted me in the process of enrolment, after doing what he does best. Exploring every school in Trinidad and Tobago, with a guarantee that it was the most competitive and economical in accreditation and cost. He had redeemed himself.
I would like to acknowledge and thank him and my two boys, for coping with my late nights, long hours and my ‘on edge behaviour’ when completing a paper. I would also like to appreciate friends, relatives and work colleagues’ words of encouragements and signs of aspiration. I would like to vouch for SITAL and their powerful and embracing team of lecturers and administrative staff for their effortless signs of dedication and dutiful service. Keep inspiring and shining a light for persons like me to become aggressive risk takers with an appetite for healthy chaos.
