At this session, students have the opportunity to meet their Local Unit Tutor for the first time and receive an official introduction to the Unit they are about to commence. In addition to introducing themselves to the group, tutors can be expected to set their expectations of students’ preparation and engagement, outline their commitment to the students’ success, detail the delivery schedule for the 6 weeks of class and sensitise them to the basic requirements of their first assessment. This session sets the tone for each unit and is a critical preparatory segment for both new and continuing students.
